What is the SPCI?

The SPCI is an MSS standing committee that empowers medical student-led groups looking to initiate innovative community-based projects by providing them with access to funding and other resources. Funding is distributed biannually in the fall and winter semesters of each academic year. Each application cycle, the SPCI committee reviews projects, provides feedback to applicants and awards funding to projects.

Curious about what initiatives we have supported in the past? Check out last year’s showcase here.

Why should you apply?

As an SPCI member, you would participate in the process of screening projects and interviewing applicants. This means you get to discover the great initiatives that are put forward by your peers and have an active role in supporting them!
